Wedding Rental Inspo: Elegant Lakeside Celebration in Newaygo, MI

Tucked away on the rolling woods and sparkling inland lake of Newaygo, Michigan, a private residence was transformed into a stunning wedding venue this past August—complete with three tented spaces, an Auckland Oak Dance Floor Rental, and thoughtful details from start to finish. Alpine Events was proud to provide tenting, tables, seating, and more for this lakeside celebration.

A Seamless Tent Layout for Ceremony, Dining and Dancing

The event design featured a smart layout that made the most of the lakeside setting while creating distinct areas for each phase of the evening. The main gathering took place beneath a 30′ x 60′ HD Frame Tent, flanked by 6 sidewalls with windows to offer both elegance and protection from the elements.

A 20′ x 40′ frame tent served as a dedicated cocktail area in the front yard, while three 10′ x 10′ tents supported key service zones—two on the patio (for a live band and bar) and one near the entrance for guest flow and logistics.

Warm market lighting wrapped the tent perimeter, setting the mood as the sun dipped below the lake.

Beautifully Furnished & Dressed for the Occasion

The reception space combined rustic charm and soft sophistication. The head table was set with barnwood tables and sky blue Panama runners, while the family table featured 14 Farm Cross Back Chairs with white cushions. For guest seating, sixteen 8’ banquet tables dressed in sky blue Panama linens welcomed 120 guests seated in white resin padded chairs.

Napkin details in navy Panama provided a rich contrast, while silver lacquer chargers, hammered flatware, and white round dinnerware completed the tabletop presentation. Each setting was finished with a 12 oz water goblet, adding sparkle under the tent lights.

A Dance Floor Under the Stars

Guests danced the night away on a 15′ x 18′ Auckland Oak dance floor, set on subflooring for a smooth and sturdy surface. Positioned on the patio, it allowed guests to enjoy both the music and the natural beauty of the lakeside view.

Thoughtful Touches

Behind the scenes, Alpine Events provided full support—from carpet tiles under the band tent to a clean-up plan including trash boxes, liners, and a dirty dish return. Our team also handled table and chair setup, ensuring every detail was ready before the big day.
