Set against the waterfront charm of Bay Harbor near Petoskey, Michigan, this August wedding was a perfect example of how thoughtful event rentals can elevate a destination celebration. Alpine Events was proud to provide the tenting, tables, bars, linens, glassware, lighting, and full logistical support for this stunning Northern Michigan wedding weekend.
Sailcloth Tent with Clear Sidewalls
The centerpiece of the reception was a striking 44’ x 104’ sailcloth tent rentals, offering an airy, elegant structure that complemented the natural beauty of Bay Harbor. To maximize views while still providing coverage, clear sailcloth sidewalls were installed on half of the tent, creating a seamless connection between the reception space and the surrounding waterfront.
To enhance the ambiance as the evening unfolded, market lighting rentals was installed throughout the tent, including both perimeter and peak lighting. The warm glow added depth, visibility, and a welcoming atmosphere for dinner and dancing.
Dedicated Catering Tent
A 20’ x 20’ white high-definition frame tent rental served as a dedicated catering space, ensuring smooth service behind the scenes. Outfitted with solid white sidewalls, market lighting rentals, and multiple 8-foot banquet tables rentals, this setup allowed the catering team to operate efficiently while keeping the guest experience front and center.
Custom Bar Experience
A standout feature of the reception was a 360-degree bar setup, created using white racetrack quarter-round bar rentals. This layout encouraged guest flow, reduced wait times, and served as a central gathering point throughout the evening. Additional banquet tables supported bar operations and glassware staging.
Tables for Dining and Gathering
The reception layout included a versatile mix of tables to accommodate dining, cocktails, and casual conversation:
- 8-foot banquet table rentals for reception seating and service areas
- 60-inch and 72-inch round table rentals for guest dining
- 42-inch tall cocktail table rentals for mingling
This combination allowed for a balanced floor plan that felt both functional and inviting.
